Safety information

GLP-1 medication is not appropriate if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2; are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding; have a history of pancreatitis or certain gastrointestinal conditions; or are under 18. Other conditions and medications are reviewed at your consultation.

About the medication. The semaglutide and tirzepatide we prescribe are compounded by a licensed pharmacy for each patient on prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA has not reviewed them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. We tell you exactly what you are receiving and where it comes from.

Side effects and warnings. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach upset, usually during dose increases. Serious but rare risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury from dehydration, and low blood sugar when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas. GLP-1 medications carry a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors seen in animal studies and should not be used by anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your provider reviews all of this before you start.

Results vary. How much you lose depends on your dose, your habits, and your body. We do not promise a number. Weight regain after stopping is common, which is why the program includes a maintenance plan.

Ready when you are.
