Things people ask before they book.
If yours is not here, send it over or ask at your consultation.
Weight loss
Do I need a prescription for semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes. Both are prescription medications, written and managed by our medical team after an evaluation.
How much weight will I lose?
We cannot promise a number and will not. Results depend on your dose, your habits, and how your body responds, and the program includes follow-ups so we can adjust.
What are the side effects of GLP-1 medication?
The most common are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and reduced appetite, usually strongest in the days after a dose increase and easing over time. Rare but serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and kidney problems. GLP-1 medications carry a warning about thyroid C-cell tumors seen in animal studies; people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2 should not take them. Your provider reviews all of this with you.
Is the medication compounded?
Yes. The semaglutide and tirzepatide we prescribe are compounded by a licensed pharmacy for each patient. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA has not reviewed them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. We tell you exactly which product you are receiving and where it comes from before you start.
How often do I come in?
A consultation, a first-dose visit with injection teaching, then check-ins with the medical team every few weeks while the dose is increased and monthly afterward.
Cost
Why aren't prices listed on the website?
Most treatments are customized, so we give you the real cost in writing at a free consultation. Current specials are posted on our Vagaro page.
How is Botox priced?
Per unit, and the number of units depends on the area and your muscle strength. You get the unit count and total cost at your free consultation before anything is injected.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Often yes for physician visits, lab work, and medically necessary weight-loss treatment; we provide itemized receipts and your plan decides. Aesthetic services are not eligible.
Treatments
Will I look frozen or overdone?
Not if we can help it. We treat conservatively, keep expression, and add a little at the two-week check rather than overcorrect.
How long do results last?
Botox about three to four months, hyaluronic-acid filler six to eighteen months, and PDO threads about six months with collagen benefits lasting longer. Kybella is permanent for the fat cells treated.
Who performs the treatments?
Injections are done by licensed medical professionals under the supervision of our Medical Director, a board-certified physician. Facials, peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and microneedling are done by our licensed estheticians, Jessica Martinez and Yulissa Arriaga.
Is there downtime?
None for facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and Botox. Peels flake for 3 to 7 days, microneedling looks like a sunburn for one to three days, and fat freezing leaves numbness and tenderness for several days.
